Located at 176 Tabaczynski Rd, Woodridge, NY 12789, Woodridge O&W Trailhead A serves as a starting point for the scenic Woodridge Rail Trail. This spot is ideal for dog owners looking for a peaceful, pet-friendly trail with a natural setting. The flat, easy-to-walk paths make it suitable for all walking and hiking abilities, offering a relaxing environment to explore the outdoors alongside your furry companion.
While the trailhead and its parking are modest in size and upkeep is reportedly minimal, the area offers lovely natural views and regular opportunities to spot wildlife. It is noted as a great location to jog or walk your pets, with a calm atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle. The community appreciates the peacefulness, and it’s an occasional gathering place for local dog owners.
Great for hiking down the trail
Humid but very nice
This is the trailhead and parking for the west end of the Woodridge Rail Trail. The natural scenery and wildlife are lovely, but this is a neglected stretch of trail on the decommissioned O&W RR. The path is seemingly unimproved with no signs of gravel or rock. In places the weeds were high. There is trash at the trailhead and dumping, including old tires, along the path. Needs TLC to measure up to the well maintained Mountain Dale end of this trail.
I trane for motocross these trails are great to jog or walk your pets peaceful and very scenic
This is the trailhead and small parking for the west end of the Woodridge Rail Trail. Not well maintained, lots of trash and wild plants. The hike from here was flat and easy to walk but doesn’t offer too many views or points or interest. Depending on your hiking capacity, you may want to start your hike further up the trail.
