Love this park the people are nice it quite plenty of activities for the kids staff minds their business but are there when needed. Very clean and helpful place. And their the only park that allows animals. My daughter loves this place and comes mostly everyday. Thanks for being a great park 😊
Had a nasty experience with a very snooty woman by the Pickleball courts and want to put in a complaint. My 3 friends and I went to play and a woman in blue shirt with brown hair said there was a league run by town of oyster bay reserved at the courts, but if players didn’t show we could use one court. Mind you she stated the league began at 5:30 and it was now 5:50 on Tuesday and there were empty courts. We went to use the court and she told us we weren’t allowed with an attitude. I don’t know who she was but it’s a public park, and the sign posted for reservations was not valid for the time/date we went. Something wasn’t right, and we were forced to use tennis courts. Even other players there agreed we should have been able to use the pickleball court. I hope oyster bay does something about this, this woman ticked alot of people off and really ruined our visitation. Your league should be moved to a private area like Bethpage state park where you don’t block the public from using your public parks courts. People who work only can get there around 5:30, what’s the point of courts we can’t use!
Fantastic multi-age play areas with a very soft well-maintained rubbery base. It used to be wood chips but they upgraded and it is fenced in surrounded by the beautiful Syosset Woodbury Park. There are also barbecue areas right nearby
Came to check out the pickleball courts. I visited after it rained, so there were a few puddles. Dries decently on a mid-70s day. Looks nice but does not have any wind screens and seems to obtain leaves and debris easily. If you’re serious about the game, maybe you’ll have to bring a leave blower.
Syosset Woodbury Park is overall a nice park. It is well kept and clean. They have a swimming pool as well as a stage area for presentations and Summer shows. Most recent and super well done was the Music under the stars Three American Troubadours, a concert worth seeing and hearing. The parking was full and officers were there to direct places , getting one in and out. Not: need close spots- get there early.
