FAQ for Three Rivers Field in Woodbury Connecticut:
I walk my dog here 5 days a week! This used to belong to the Shepherds, thanks Susan! so lovely to be able to stroll the fields in my old age. People are quite polite and good with their dogs. Love walking by the river.
Good solid small rural town park. Has large pavilion with picnic tables. smaller and older playground equipment. Has flush toilets. May have water available in warmer months. Older basketball court.
A year of covid did wonders for this field complex. The grass is thick and lush this year, though the fields are still a bit lopsided (need a good rolling) and uneven. Well maintained goals, parking, and there’s always a portapotty there. There’s good team benches, but sometimes they’re in the weeds. No trash lying around like you find at other sports parks, which is nice.
Nice open fields. Good spot for fishing. Flat walking paths for dogs.
Except for the ticks, its a fantastic place for community sports, Some of the best Trout fishing in the area. (Pomperauge River) flows thru the inner perimeter along the walking/bridal trail . The is some parking on one end Judson road side. And a gated parking lot on Jack’s Bridge road side. Dogs too.
