One of the best experiences I’ve ever had. Not only is their staff loving and caring, they took care of my pooch like he was family, and made me always feel safe and worry free knowing he was in good hands.. Thank you so much Cassidy for being so empathetic and caring to him and to me. It will not be forgotten.. THANK YOU to ALL the staff there. Loki had a (short) but amazing time always 🙂
You were all so amazing to him and to me.. thank you..❤️
STEER CLEAR based on our negative experience.
We recently boarded our dog, Slate, at Dogtopia Westmont for 10 days. While we were initially assured at pickup that he had been well-behaved and in good condition, our experience tells a very different story.
Slate entered the facility in excellent health, as confirmed by our veterinarian shortly before boarding. Upon pickup, we immediately noticed green discharge coming from one of his eyes and scratches on his nose. Staff attributed the nose abrasions to him rubbing against the crate—an explanation that seems unlikely given that Slate is fully crate-trained and uses a crate daily at home without issue.
Within 24 hours, the discharge progressed to conjunctivitis in both eyes, requiring veterinary treatment and antibiotics.
More alarming were the numerous bite wounds on his head, neck, ears, and throat—injuries inconsistent with normal play behavior. That very same evening Slate developed a severe gastrointestinal illness resulting in vomiting, diarrhea, and five days without eating. He required IV fluids, x-rays, bloodwork, and medications. His total veterinary care amounted to NULL.22.
When we brought these concerns to Dogtopia’s attention, we were told that no incidents were observed on video and that no other dogs were exhibiting any symptoms. While staff insisted all internal procedures had been followed, the fact remains: our healthy dog left their care sick, injured, and traumatized. Absolutely no accountability was taken.
We understand that unforeseen issues can happen in group play settings. However, the facility’s complete unwillingness to acknowledge even the possibility of an incident or lapse in care is deeply disappointing.
We entrusted Dogtopia Westmont with Slate’s safety and well-being. Based on this experience, we cannot in good conscience recommend this location to anyone seeking a responsible, transparent, or truly safe boarding environment.
Brandon, the general manager, and his team are nothing short of amazing. Dogtopia at Wesmont has become my dog’s favorite home away from home. Since we’ve joined the Dogtopia family, Parker has become more socialized and found the place where his toy box energy can be spent in both a safe and welcoming environment. I fully trust the Dogtopia coaches and greatly appreciate everyone’s friendly demeanor. If you are looking for a dog-friendly daycare, boarding and/ or spa location that will honestly put your dog’s health and wellness at the forefront. Look no further, Dogtopia at Wesmont Station is it!
My dogs absolutely love Dogtopia. They cannot wait to get in the door. The staff here are so caring and when my dogs board, they make sure that my 1 nervous dog is well taken care of for the nighttime. I love being able to check in on them also. Do not hesitate to come here and try it out!
Dogtopia at Westmont has been such a blessing for my dog Chino and I. I started bringing Chino at 6 months and it has been so great to have him socialize with other dogs. He truly anticipates and looks forward to going everyday to see all his dog pals. The staff is so personable and all truly care about all the dogs. I am so grateful for all they do and appreciate the care and attention they put into each dogs needs. I can get my work done during the day knowing my dog is well taken care of and enjoying himself while developing important skills. I highly recommend dogtopia at westmont to anyone looking for a home away from home for their beloved dog.
