Excellent roadside park very small with some grills a little covered shelter and some benches along the river peaceful quaint I don’t know what else I can say very woke up and it’s on the west branch of the sturgeon River which is even better cold and flat fast flowing

Absolutely beautiful place to stop and have a picnic, play Frisbee, toss a ball around, or sit by the river and reflect. There’s a general store not far from the park to pick up the makings for a picnic, or stop by one of the restaurants for takeout, and eat at the park.
The picnic tables and benches need updating, and there were no garbage cans, so be prepared. Fixing those two little things would give this beautiful spot 5 stars.
If you enjoy fishing, it’s easy to do from the shore, and adults can even wade in the river (I didn’t see any signs saying no swimming). The current is a little fast for kids though. Enjoy!

Great little roadside Park. Great little water feature pavilion could use a little bit of maintenance but the grass was freshly cut and there was multiple different seating locations to view the scenery and running water and still maintain social distancing parking was not an issue although if it was ever busy I’m not sure where everyone would park besides the grass great little monument there for those who paved the way for preserving our woods and Waters in northern Michigan. I will definitely stop here again when I’m in the area the water was so peaceful and tranquil definitely a place I would recommend for an afternoon walk or eating your lunch

Great little park to visit. You can fish in the river, let kids play in the new playground that’s fenced in, have a picnic in the pavilion and enjoy the beautiful scenery!
