Very scenic and peaceful.
This is a very peaceful lake/area. No gas powered motors, which is great if you are a fellow kayaker! Didn’t catch any fish, but still a very peaceful day. Easy access. Bathrooms were closed. 🙁
They was doing work trying to make it better but all that work is useless when you have the wildlife clearly in pain. One duck even has a fish hook through its eye and no one will help it! I tried for days. They said to just leave it. Poor duck it’s So sad!
This is a nice quiet spot tucked away in Wise VA. Seems like pretty good fishing, and there is a small trail that leads around the lake. Great spot for photography too! It was pretty windy today, which seems like a typical condition around these parts. It would be fun to come back when I had more time to explore.
Peaceful place to fish and relax along the banks or on a boat! Sheltered picnic areas with well maintained restrooms nearby. Abundant wildlife especially deer and a host of different birds for the bird watchers . It’s a great place to fish, I don’t understand the negative reviews on the fishing aspect. Some days you catch a few some days you don’t…..that’s why it’s called fishing and not called catching…lol.
The only negative thing I could say is not about the lake but about the people who visit and leave their trash scattered along the grounds. It’s hard to understand why they would do that with there being an ample amount of trash receptacles for them to use…..
