Beautiful ride shaded and paved.
Nicely shaded and paved path for family bike rides. Some areas are less congested than others. We found bathrooms conveniently located alongside the trail.
Luckily, I live near the trail and access at a different location, but this trail head nice. They have bathrooms and calesthenic exercise equipment within a quarter mile of trail head. If you head east you will land in downtown Oviedo with the option of taking an intersecting trail south/north. If you head west, the trail goes through neighborhoods, across 17/92 and goes past numerous adjacent parks and other amenities.
A solid go to paved, but mostly shady trail. Lots of bicyclists- some are REALLY rude, but for the most part respect from pedestrians and bicyclists goes both ways. Several “break” areas on the winter springs path. Only one I can recall on Oviedo path (within 2 miles in from trailhead). My puppy loves the water options!
Only walked 2 miles from the trailhead but so far it was a great trail for some exercise with a majority of bikers and the odd skater. No confusing splits, thank God, clear signs and a single paved road with a bridge. It was however less secluded than I had hoped. Looked for trails on this blog and was informed about it being pretty isolated but as far as we went, the trail went through several neighborhoods and was lined with backyards on either side.
