Greenway Park, located in the heart of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, is a hidden gem that offers a peaceful getaway for families, dog owners, and nature lovers alike. With well-maintained woodland and pet-friendly trails, this park provides plenty of space for dog-friendly hiking, walking, and enjoying the great outdoors right near downtown and Wake Forest University. The trails are scenic and dog walkers are a common sight, making it an excellent choice for those seeking a relaxing stroll with their canine companions.
The park features shaded areas under mature trees, multiple benches, picnic tables, a playground for children, and easy access to walking trails. Although there is no fenced-in dog area and the park is close to a busy road, owners can enjoy open green spaces while keeping pets on a leash. The park’s tranquil atmosphere, combined with woodland views and proximity to local landmarks like Raynolda House and the Ronald McDonald House, make it a favorite for locals looking for a serene, dog-friendly outing.
