Winneconne Dog Park

Winneconne Dog Park is a spacious and welcoming dog park of about half an acre, located in Winneconne, WI. It features a largely flat terrain with several shade trees and benches scattered throughout, creating a pleasant environment for both dogs and their owners. The park is wheelchair accessible with proper entrances and parking. The community is friendly and well-mannered, making it a great spot for dogs to run freely. However, the park does not currently have separate areas for small and large dogs, and parking is very limited. There are some dog toys and water bowls available, though visitors are advised to bring their own water. While the park is generally clean, some users note that owners could improve on cleaning up after their pets.

This seems to be a relatively new dog park. It was large and mostly flat with several shade trees and sitting benches scattered through out the area. The parking by the entrance was extremely minimal. This was not a problem when I was there because it was the middle of the afternoon on a work day, but I suspect this gets to be tight after work and on weekends. I also noticed that there was not “small dog” play area. While my dog is not small, I will often use this area if it is unused if there is a problem dog ( or a problem owner) using the larger area. With plenty of ground to work with, maybe the “small dog area” is still in the works. The picnic tables and random dog toys was also a nice touch. There were water bowls but limited water supply, so as always I suggest you bring plenty of your own clean water.
All the people and the dogs that I have met there are very nice and well-mannered. Everyone takes care of that part. Including me. It’s always a pleasure to go there with my dog.
We’ve been there twice. It’s early in the non-snow season, so the first time there was one other dog, the second we were there alone. It’s a very large space. It’s clean and has balls and Frisbees, but they were a bit worn. I have a large dog and didn’t see where small dogs could be separated, so that’s a bit concerning. I would probably leave if a small dog were there. I wouldn’t want to take the chance of mine hurting another, although I suspect a small dog owner would not enter if they see bigger dogs????
Parking was very limited.
Nice big place to let the fur children run. Fairly clean, people could do a little better job cleaning up after their pups though. Some of the toys laying around should be thrown out.
Beautiful dog park. Never too busy with about 12 dogs at the max I’ve ever seen. Try to come here every weekend. Very friendly crowd as well. Park is about 1/2 an acre in size over all. Great community here ar the Winneconne dog park!
