Semi steep and rocky trail about 1 mile. Right for beginners)))

Access trail for AT which runs the Blue Mountain here between Walnutport and Wind Gap. Trail has water access and Leroy Smith shelter. Moderate climb, loose stone and rocky in parts. Mixed hardwoods / decidious forest typical of east central PA. Nothing spectacular but still a very nice walk in the woods. There is a good view to the valleys and ridges to the north, accessed by walking northeast under the powerlines at the ridge top.

Nice walk for a Sunday morning. It was steep at some points and very rocky most of the hike.

Nice 1mile semi strenuous rocky hike. Payoff: make a right at the power lines. 1/2 down trail you’ll come to this sweet view.
