Very cute little park. Definitely a decent little walk with the dogs. We got to see lots of deer along the trails too.
Nice little park for a stroll through the trees. Great paved path. Would be a great outing for young families as strollers and wagons can traverse the path easily. Deer tracks everywhere!
Nice, quiet, not very long trail great for my older dog, there are back trails to see more trees and little ponds a little dried up this year. (April 2024) you can see fish jump up and catch bugs. Other ppl that walk this trail are always friendly and smile. Makes the walk enjoyable even more.
Took a stroll through one of Wichita’s hidden gems tonight. Swanson Park is actually pretty urban – it’s near the intersection of Central & Maize where we do most of our shopping – but you’d never know it. I took a couple of dirt side trails to do some deer spotting (see video) and to ‘walk the cliff’ by Cowskin Creek. Then I made it a larger loop by exiting the park out to Central and walking over through the business district and back up Maize to the park’s main entrance.
Nice park. Linear path,However, there are many side trails that you take in along the river to explore.
Nice place to unwind from work . It does get a bit buggy in the evening. Make sure to wear some bug spray.
