So nice to see a private little garden of prairie dogs that are safe from the environment around them.. although they are escaping! Thru the asphalt driveways! Haha. They are so cute and you can feed them!

Prairie Dogs! Took my girls to the park today for a picnic and we got to see prairie dogs. The park was clean and the trash cans were empty which is a plus because it kept the bugs away! We enjoyed our food at the picnic tables under the canopy. The girls ran through the sand filled park climbing on all the things and sliding down each slide at least once! The park is huge and the playground is large with about 5 slides (I didn’t count) and plenty of bridges and climbing areas. The prairie dogs were in a short metal fenced area, and they were out running about! Its was really cool to see them playing with each other and relaxing in the shade.

Great park! Newest style equipment that I have seen. Modern jungle Jim. 2 actually. 1 for toddlers and such. The other for kids- to elderly. Oh, and of course, the awesome little infestation of prairie dogs and the underground civilization they built is top notch.

One of my favorite parks here in town!

I love the futuristic play structure in the wood chip area for younger kids. And, there are some pretty fun implements. All modern and safe,

Then, in the sand area there is a more classic metal play structure. It’s taller and has some nice risk and challenge for the slightly older kids.

There’s also plenty of benches and multiple covered picnic table areas.

The basketball court needs some love. The chain is in poor shape, there’s a tree over growing by the hoop, and there’s mud on the slab.

The public restrooms are decent enough.

Also, the prairie dogs are hilarious. Many have escaped the enclosed area and formed a splinter colony.

Me and my kids come here all the time, it’s their favorite park to go to here in wichita, this park is very pretty and what I love most is the shade for my kids because of how young they are. My kids love seeing the prairie dogs as well it’s the first and last thing we go see. ❤️ The only thing I wish was that the restroom was more clean.
