Favorite spot to go to for the view of the dam, access to water area if you wanna get your toes wet (i believe there’s a no swimming sign) and theres a gorgeous limestone wall covered in the most gorgeous ferns and fresh spring water dripping off of the wall. It will cool you off on a hot day just by standing close to it! Nice to fish as well. Very peaceful place and beautiful little spot

It’s a little hidden and out of the way area on the other side of the dam. If you follow the left hand side of the river’s edge, you can walk rather far up river. When the riverbed is dry, you can walk all the way across, find cool rocks, feathers, and animal tracks. If you hear the sirens, you have less than 5 minutes to get to higher ground. Run.

Great park. Very beautiful. Water was very low so we could almost walk to the other side. We found lots of treasures. The water was just right and so was the temperature outside.

Siren means gate is ALREADY open! Had the kids down by the water with a fire and hot dogs. Siren went off and less than 5 minutes later water was right where we had been.

Beautiful and restroom is cleaner than at the pilot outside Belton was 4 days ago. And I found this sign on the backside of the dam humorous.
