Overall the park is ok but sometimes, just like any other public places unpleasant situations can happen. Just this past weekend a father of a young boy, 2-3 years old, decided to yell and belittle other kids and the responsible adult just because his child had to wait to use a particular slide already occupied. There was an adjacent slide that was empty but this child continue to slide on to other kids. Other children tried to help the little boy by advising please wait. The father yelled at the kids and was quickly advised to immediately refrain from verbally attacking other kids and instead he was advised to address the guardian if he had any concerns. The father continue to verbally attack the guardian of the children, without wanting to understand the children were trying to help his little one so that he would not get hurt. This father was totally clueless and entitled. Luckily, other adults in the park witnessed this and stepped in advising this father to stop his unacceptable behavior towards other kids and the guardian. After this he quickly left the park with his child. This type of behavior is totally unacceptable and this father set a very bad example. We all should strive to communicate better and to be respectful of others. This is a shared public space and there is no need for others flexing their verbal muscles and frightening other kids.

Nice easy walk good for a lunch break. 1 lap was .6 miles or 1k.

Nice park, easy to walk and never busy. Wish the gravel paths were paved, it gets so muddy with rain it snow.
Geese around pond leave lots of droppings, so watch where you step.
Has a playground for kids

Very pretty city park. Statues, small pond, with fountain, benches, and lots of walking areas.
Explored more with Auntie today 8.31.23. This place is quite large. Several baseball fields, swimming pool, huge play area for small children, basketball court.

I did not see Tennis courts, or a skate park.

It’s always enjoyable to walk around the park. There’s a bunch of markers throughout the park to remember the history of the park and some members of the town.
The landscape here is nice with the rolling hills/mounds which break up the long distance views of the surrounding neighborhood. This gives you slightly more of a feeling of being immersed in the woods/nature.
The paths around the park are covered in sand/gravel, they are wide and level. Easy of almost anyone to use.
