Reviews
Beautiful park with a walking track inside the large dog side. Plenty of water fountains for your fur babies and plenty of room to run on both the large and small dog sides. My pups loved it!
This is a nice dog park. Fountain to get water for dogs. Just bring a container. Separate areas for big dogs and small dogs. Has a track around the park if you want to walk with your dog or walk while they are playing. Plenty of seating around the park.
Excellent place to take your Dogs! If your dog doesn’t play well with others, you’ll need to leash your pet! My dogs love coming here and it helps them socialize and get good exercise! Open from sunrise to sunset except for Maintenance Mondays
Space/amenities:
– There are individual spaces for small dogs (25 pounds and under) and large dogs (over 25 pounds)
– water pumps that work (finally!) in both areas and in the “lobby” area
– a path around the perimeter on each side
– plenty of benches to sit on
– a covered bench area on the larger dog side
– poop bags available
– no interactive dog elements (tunnels, platforms, etc) , just ground/dirt/grass and trees
– pretty large open spaces for each dog size
Ambiance:
– this is clearly a community park! That’s a plus for me
– many people clearly come regularly and know dogs and owners by name
There are normal dog park drawbacks just like there are with kids at a playground. Occasionally some dogs don’t get along or some dogs are way more excited than others to be there. Sometimes an owner isn’t super responsible. Petty dog park politics and gossip make the rounds 😅
I’ve personally never had an issue when I’ve taken my dog; we go, we enjoy the space, we make friends and chat people up, and we don’t partake in gossip. We typically stay 30-60 min. Most people seem to stay 15-60 min. I love that this place is just minutes from me and my dog gets excited every time we pull in.
My Littles enjoy the park unless they are relentlessly being humped. That alone makes it difficult to have a good time. Owners rarely clean up their dog poop so watch your step! Some dogs are not treated for fleas so make sure you treat your dog before visiting. Other than that it’s a good park.
