Love it here beautiful beach area
A great family spot for little ones who want to have fun in the water. If you have big kids with you Lake Michigan is connected to it so they can have fun in the waves. It changes yearly on the way it lays out and the depth. It is our parents favorite spot for grandchildren.
Always a great time! Although the beach can be small, it’s a great place to take family and friends. The channel is nice to have for smaller kids and there’s deeper water swimming. The path is nice and easy to transport on. There are plenty of things to do to entertain kids as well. And lake Michigan is right next to duck lake, not a far walk.
My wife and myself grow up at this beautiful Duck Lake channel. Lake Michigan on one side and a warmer Duck Lake on the other side with large sand dunes all around. It was a fantastic place to hangout esp back in the 60s and 70s go swimming to exploring, build a fire and eat and enjoy the whole day. After our kids were born they grow up there as well. Living only a couple miles from the channel the kids road there bikes and would have a blast lots of times they’d stay all day just like Mom and Dad did at there age. We all love growing up in this area. Its changed some but you all should check it out. The people on the beach are always friendly it’s a great place for the whole family.Store just down the road with places to spend the night. Beautiful sunsets. Enjoy!!!
