Great location in Wetumpka’s historic district! We were right across the road from Fríos, and could see the Elmore County Courthouse and Elmore County Museum from the dining room. The outdoor dining area looks fun, though a bit hot for today.

I met up at the Grumpy Dog with a cousin to talk about our family. The informal setting was just right for our visit—good food and no pressure to rush the meal.
Worst hotdogs ever!!! Wife got regular hotdog w/ sour kraut and it was a soggy mess. I had the conecuh dog with cheese. The sausage was waaay over cooked, hard as a brick, impossible to chew, with a bag of shredded cheese that didn’t melt on top. Can of coke for almost NULL, bottle of water, and 2 bags chips. Total NULL+. Will be the last time we eat there. Do yourself a favor and skip this place as it is below fast food. You would get better food at a soup kitchen.
This restaurant is headed for national franchise. This is the best mix of gourmet hotdogs at great prices. Chef Wil cooks up tasty dogs in a quaint setting. Be sure to get a chocolate dipped key lime pie. It will set you free. Five stars and worth every one.
Great dogs! Enjoyed frito bandito and grumpy dog. Buy 2 dogs, get free bag of chips. The chili was flavorful. Quick friendly service. Gave us two plates instead of trying to eat from foil wrapper. Fun combinations to try.
