🐾 Kids at the Dog Park: Real Stories, Safety Risks & Smarter Solutions
If you’ve spent time at an off-leash park, you’ve probably seen it:A parent strolls in with a stroller 🚼 or […]
Located at 101 Sand Rd, Westwood, NJ, West Woof Dog Park is a convenient spot for local pet owners seeking a welcoming, dog-friendly area. The park features separate fenced areas for small and large dogs to play safely off-leash, giving peace of mind to owners of both little and big pups. The surrounding area offers spacious grass fields, baseball fields, and paved walkways, making it an excellent spot for dog-friendly hiking or strolls around the park.
This pet-friendly park is wheelchair accessible with plenty of room for dogs to run and socialize. While there are water bowls provided, there isn’t a dedicated water fountain for dogs, so bringing your own water is recommended. The dog park is next to a large recreational area, making it enjoyable for both pets and their owners. Please note that visitors should bring their own poop bags, as waste stations may not always be stocked.
Clean dog park that has plenty of room for small and large dogs to play
Nice dog park. Decent size. 2 areas, one for large and one for small dogs. Water bowls there but no water source. No poop bags like I’ve seen at other parks but I do bring my own.
My dog and I come here frequently. I like that they have a small dog side and a big dog side however, it would be nice if dog owners actually respected that. My dog is medium (30lbs), could go on either side really but so many times people bring their big dogs and immediately let them in the small dog side without even asking if anyone minds. If I wanted my dog to interact with big dogs I would put him on that side. I think people need to be more courteous of the sides.
The dog park was really muddy so we didn’t go in, but the small dog park is fairly large. The park next to the dog park is also really big. We walked around the walkway twice instead. There are also giant grass fields and a couple baseball fields.
Great area for your dog, the other dogs are amazing, however, AWFUL, AWFUL people! My friend couldn’t bring her large dog (Sydney) to the proper side because an owner said his dog is aggressive and would attack. WHY THE HECK bring your dog then? So then my friend stayed with my dog and I in the small area along with others until unfortunately a small dog mom came amd said why was Sydney there. Basically we ended up leaving because poor Sydney couldn’t be in anywhere. Would NOT return here just based on the people alone.
