This is a beautiful trail, but it is in need of some maintenance. There are a few logs down across the trail, and the foot bridge is REALLY sketchy.

OMG, THE POISIN OAK! The poison oak is thick! Unless you are completely immune to poison oak, STAY AWAY!

Three stars because of the old historic covered bridge, the clean bathroom and picnic facility, and because it really is a beautiful trail.

Hiked this trail in February, 2021.Due to the time of year I ended up a little wet and muddy, but it was well worth it! I would definitely recommend this river trail!

Nice, lightly trafficked, hiking trail. There is no “destination point” persay (no waterfall, or mountain viewpiont), but a beautiful forest trail that runs beside a river almost the whole way. Also, the office covered bridge is a lovely place to take a few photos before you start.
