Caryn Modawell Memorial Dog Park is a hidden gem for dog lovers located at 950 E Tilson St in West Salem, Wisconsin. Nestled along beautiful Lake Neshonoc, this dog park offers scenic views and plenty of green space for your furry friend to run and play off-leash. While the fenced area may need some maintenance, the shaded sections and lakeside setting make it a peaceful spot for both dogs and their owners.
This dog park in West Salem, WI is typically quiet, meaning you and your dog are likely to have the space to yourselves, which can be great for exercise or dogs who prefer not to socialize. However, visitors have noted that the fencing and gates may need repair, so keep an eye on adventurous pups. The proximity to standing water means mosquitoes may be more common during the warmer months, so bringing repellant might be helpful. Despite some maintenance issues, the park’s location and open areas are a big draw for locals seeking a convenient, dog-friendly outing near the lake.
There’s so much to see and do here. I would have the dog park improved by cleaning it up, and making it bigger, and fixing the fencing. My dog got out. But I think with a lil TLC and location, it’s pretty awesome.

Very nice park, can get alot of mosquitoes due to the standing water couple hundred yards over, but usually empty and plenty of room for your best friend to open up and run

It’s a bit small but shaded. You probably won’t run into anybody else here is the only snag if you’re trying to socialize your dog but if you want it off at leash place for them to run around it’s great. Beautiful setting right next to the lake
