A quaint little find. Excellent for viewing the mattaponi river and peaceful atmosphere to relax, picnic or enjoy a bike ride through. If you live in west point this is a great “freebie” to enjoy!
Nice little park to take a small stroll. Love bringing my daughter here to get out of the house. It’s generally safe, the only thing is when next to the road you have to keep little ones close if they are runners. But with that only being a small part it’s very easy.

We visit West Point, VA often. It’s a beautiful place.
What a great little Park! They have a bunch of paved trails that you can walk or bike along the Mattaponi River. There are also some seating areas right on the river itself. Walking around they were a bunch of little wooden walkways that go over these canal’s. The tide was out so you could see tons of little fiddler crabs running all over the place. There’s a lot of picnic tables. What a great place you could bring a picnic, take a walk and check out the river. Very quiet nice and quaint.
