Shady and cool, old trees with the occasional iguana. And a rich history. Parking readily available.

Small but very pretty park with huge banyan trees. Perfect for finding some shade out of the sun…plus there is an interesting backstory to the park’s creation…read the plaque in the pictures. Enjoy!

Beautiful park with ancient banyan trees. They are huge and have been here for centuries. It is thought that banyan trees were first introduced in the continental USA in Fort Myers, Florida by Thomas Edison in the late 1800. The trees bloom year round and produce a sap that can fall on the street or the cars parked underneath. The park used to be a cemetery until it was donated to the City of West Palm Beach in 1921.
