The organization that runs the turtle back zoo should be DEFUNDED AND SHUT DOWN IMMEDIATELY.
The confusion about the closing time could detract from the experience. Clear communication about hours of operation is essential for customer trust and satisfaction. The worker said they close at 4pm the department I was looking for, but in the website is registered they close at 04:30pm.
Shame on the department authorizing the atrocious “concerts” in Military Park. 80-100 decibels heard though the hurricane proof windows with the legal level of 65 during the day.
No amount of complaints helps. I don’t feel safe in my own apartment I’m paying a LOT of money for. Last year has been a torture to live around Military park. You guys are looking for a legal action taken against the city and you.
I am a resident of Essex County and i have a complaint regarding Yanticaw Park in Nutley off of Park Ave.
There are a group of teenagers that congregate by the bocci ball court…. There are anywhere between 20 and 25 of them and they come on their bicycles.
They lay their bikes across the walking path and people walking must navigate around them. I have even seen them walking on the roof of the building directly across from the bocci ball courts. They bring food and drink and when they leave, they leave behind their litter…. The area smells of urine…. And while walking around the walking track they speed past people very closely.
As a homeowner and tax payer i expect to be able to go out for a walk without dealing with this.
This is the Essex County Sheriff’s Office you wouldn’t think so by the hotbed of drug activity and hive frequency of car theft in the area they openly sell drugs across the street and down the street in the local shopping centre wow the local sheriff’s office is literally blocks away not even one block way to go law enforcement
