Easy flat trail to the falls…about 1/2 mile. A few steps up and down the beautiful falls. Lots of mosquitos – bring bug spray! The forest around the falls is alive with the songs of birds!
Nice hike and beautiful views of the falls from decks and some other spots. There are steep cliffs and lots of roots, so take it slow. When you get to the viewing decks, there are some stairs, but mostly very well maintained paths. Looked like there may be geocaches around, too. Lots of families with dogs, not all leashed like they should be, but no different than anywhere else.
Very well kept trails. Beautiful little hike for those of all ages. Might keep a better eye on the parking lot though, swarms of Karen’s standing in parking spots trying to hold them for friends; not today Karen! NOT TODAY!!
Listed as an easy hike. I’d say definitely more moderate there’s some elevation areas where you are hiking up and steps/platforms. Definitely not wheelchair or stroller friendly. No restrooms. All woods. 🙂
Beautiful natural area with a well kept trail. Easy to navigate even with the snow lingering into April. About half an hour in or out. Several viewing platforms give you plenty of space to enjoy the falls. It was not busy when I was there, but I imagine parking will be a bottleneck during a busier season, so get there early. It’s definitely worth the drive if you are in the area. One of the best falls in Maine.
