Park is nice, except fencing in small dog area is made with a fence wire that has large, 8″ x 8″? openings, which always smaller dogs to escape.
We started our puppy in the little dog area at three months old. She loved it. It’s small but a large enough area for the little ones. We met some very friendly and playful pups in there. Now she’s six months old and has been playing in the big dog side for a month now. She’s a large six month old. We love all the space, and we appreciate the balls people have left for the dogs. All the people, and most of the dogs are super friendly. Though, recently, there have been three bigger dogs who have been very aggressive to our girl. Its been enough to make us stop going. The dogs have not only attacked our dog. We’ve heard lots of stories from other people there. Who now keep their dogs on the little dog side or just don’t go anymore. It’s sad to not be able to enjoy this place anymore.
This is the best dog park I’ve ever taken my dogs too. Wonderfully designed park, with a larg/small split. But they do allow the small dogs into large at the owners judgment.
We took our small dogs in when the park was empty. They have benches, picnic tables, BBQ grill, and the best part… trails the dogs can explore off leash.
My dogs absolutely love being off leash to explore and sniff.
I do wish there were more amenities in the small dog park.
But overall it is wonderful and we have gone everyday since we’ve been in town.

Part of Sandy Knoll County Park & sponsored by Fleet Farm is this awesome play place for dogs. The fee for entering the park can be paid via a day or annual pass, based on residency. No attendant on duty so pay honorably (or risk a ticket due to surveillance). It’s a spacious park with a giant open field area plus walking trails. Poop bag stations, water bowls, and toys available. A source of water would be a nice addition though.
There’s also a shelter which can be reserved. No permanent restroom facilities, but there is a porta-potty. Plenty of benches throughout and fun facts posted about. What’s more are the fun cutouts – kudos to whoever created them! Big foot (at home in the woods) made me chuckle, but the step-brothers (out in the middle of a dog park) made me laugh out loud 😄
