If riding a bike, go southwest. Full of trees, views of the river with paved path. Going northeast is gravel.
Poorly maintained dirt trail. Goatheads were overwhelming. My mountain bike had no prep for the amount of Goatheads and I flatted out after 3 miles. Zero maintenance on trail and zero help if you flat out. Don’t recommend north arm unless you have puncture proofing.
We started at the Weezer end of the trail and based on photos of the rest of the trail. This might be the least scenic portion. You don’t get anywhere near the river for the first couple miles. But as you had further north, it looks like it gets spectacular.
Long gravel trail. A bit tricky to run due to gravel, but great option still. Flat and no shade. Sunglasses and sunscreen are a must.
Absolutely garbage, it’s all gravel. And it destroys your feet. Walked it all the way from Weiser to the mountains, and it was a nightmare. And it would be a great trail if they just didn’t use gravel that you can feel underneath every step you take. And they clearly did have to use gravel because on the other side of the river is a dirt road
