Best place to Hangout but they do need more playground stuff but it is a very fun place for baseball games and sometimes there’s fall festivals all it needs is some love and it would be very good but I love it I just think it could have some work on it and I do think the PVC pipes on the playground are fun but when little kids walk across them and I know some experience it makes you slip and I know don’t walk across them but little kids do that and it’s not fun whenever you fall so maybe wooden planks or something would be a better choice and you could probably get some better stuff for the play area on the ground tire rubber or something that would be a better choice but it is very much a good place to hang out and have fun but could you please put another gate that we don’t want to walk all the way around to get to the playground there’s like two but I know I don’t want to walk around the whole thing to get to the playground in the baseball games are so much fun and the snacks are even better they’re off the chain I tried my first fried Oreo there or I guess deep fried Oreo and it was so good nachos are so good too and everything is just amazing and it is a good place to take your kids and also the Fall festival palooza’s are really fun too

This park is simple, easily accessible, and even with some new play equipment and covered picnic area; it’s ho hum. The grassy areas are more weedy than several other Sumter County area parks. There is an elevated area towards the back (North End) of the park, surrounded by questionably safe fencing and disgusting picnic tables which should be removed. The PVC piping, which surrounds the smaller play area, is not finished and there is little cushioning other than raw ground with a few piles of scattered wood chips here and there. There’s a swinging bench near the play area that was clearly hung incorrectly and it’s useless at best.
It’s a very popular park for baseball games and serves its intended purpose for that. But if you’re looking for a nice park for your kids to play at, keep looking… This is not the one to stop and enjoy some safe outdoor time.

Never opens at the same time in the mornings. Don’t understand why it isn’t open when the sun comes out. Sometimes doesn’t open until 9am would like to get a walk in before work. At least open by 7:00 am especially after time change when it gets dark at 6 pm. Can’t get a walking after dark since it is dark. Literally live less then 5 mins from there and now having to go bushnell.
