I’m from Illinois, but came to this park with a friend and her dog while visiting. It was amazing seeing how excited all the dogs get when they see each other. And the dog “parents” are their own special pack as well, all interacting with each other like they’ve known each other forever. Everyone follows common courtesy when picking up after their dogs and it stays very clean. It was a lot of fun joining in on the fun! I’m looking forward to the next visit.
Great place for dogs to run free inside two separate fenced in areas. I believe the fencing is about 4 feet high so we don’t worry about our big dog jumping over the fence. Nice benches there to watch and enjoy nature. The dog water fountain is nice, when it is turned on.
My girls on our first trip to the dog park.. I also liked that it had a outdoor library box that you could pick up and leave some good reading material while there
I gave it a try. And the 2 stars doesn’t reflect the land just the experience. It’s smaller than my usual but that wasn’t the bad part. Mostly it’s the humans. Many there looked down on me and made me feel unwelcome. My dogs weren’t rescues and those there made it VERY relevant that “most of all us have rescues”. If those are reading this…my doggos rescued me. And I rescued my cocker from the “clearance rack” at the local pet store. I haven’t been back since. I know it’s not the park it’s the people but people make or break a place.
We were dog sitting for some friends and took their dog their multiple times and he loved it there. He got to run and play with other dogs. The water fountain is set up that you can fill a bowl very easy. Everyone we have came across is so friendly.
