Great quiet spot to sit in the sensory garden or walk the trails. Food allowed in designated area only, but it us,a nice shady spot with picnic tables. Good for both a quick stop or can spend a few hours.

Laurelwood Arboretum is a non-profit organization that hosts over 400 of the rhododendrons species and over 100 varieties. The path is very walkable for those with small children and pets. The very quiet grounds also includes a pond, greenhouse (not accessible to the public) a few small bridges and a sensory garden.

Note: No picnicking is allowed. No parking fee. A few hills (covered in gravel) may be difficult for those with stability issues when walking. If allergic to bees, be mindful there’s a lot of them in the sensory garden, however if you leave them alone, they will also leave you bee 🐝

Walkability – This beautiful arboretum offers a variety of trails where you can immerse yourself in nature’s charm.
Photography – As someone who loves capturing the beauty of flowers, wildlife, and serene landscapes, this place is a dream — it truly has a little bit of everything.
Maintenance – The grounds are clearly cared for with love, creating a peaceful and uplifting atmosphere throughout.
Parking – There are two small parking lots. I arrived around 9:30 a.m., and the first lot was already full, so I headed to the second one, which still had a few spots left.
Admission & Hours – Free to visit and open every day, making it easy to plan a trip whenever you need a nature break.

Overall – Whether you want to relax, take a peaceful walk or simply enjoy the beauty around you, Laurelwood Arboretum is the perfect spot. I’ll definitely be coming back. 🌿
