We visited Doughboy Park, a memorial dedicated to the men who fought in both WWI and WWII. This small, triangular park is conveniently located just off the road, offering ample parking and featuring a large gazebo. Situated at the base of what resembles a Main Street business district, the park provides a quaint and peaceful setting. There’s also a train depot directly across the busy highway, adding a touch of historical charm to the area.
We stopped here at the memorial park for the men who fought in WWI as well as WWII. It is a small triangular park right off the road with plenty of parking and a large gazebo.
It is at the foot of what looks like a Main Street type of business district along with a train depot right across the busy highway.
Adorable little park. I love the history in Waycross. The train station is directly across the street. There are lots of little shops and local businesses in the strip. Cute.
Nice gazebo to just get out of the sun and relax. If you want to watch the trains not a bad spot to hangout.
