FAQ for Mary Street Park in Waycross GA:
The foundation isn’t so much the problem. There’s a functional playground. Swings, merry-go-round, splash pads, clean grass, side walks all around, tented area for sitting an option to hold events. What is hopeful and I wish I can see is more youths high schoolers or graduates or even college students hold events.Because the older generation has. But, the elder/older generation isn’t bringing the excitement.More community providers, more electrifying spark from people hosting. That way more families with children would come out to support future events. To conclude I DO APPRECIATE THAT THE MARK DOES NOT HAVE ANY OFFENSIVE GRAFFITI DESTROYED BY NEGATIVE PEOPLE.THE PARK IS CLEAN, NO RESTROOMS, IT HAS WHAT ITS INTENDED FOR.SO NO COMPLAINTS.I’ve gone there for relaxing, walking, and attended the events.I was able to meet the Mayor and Commissioner. The atmosphere allowed for positive and active social interactions.I would continue to utilize that park. Also there is adequate parking.I’m able to bring my puppy with poop bags. I didn’t see any poop bags or garbage bins.
It’s a really nice park, few covered áreas, splash pad and a big covered area. A water fountain, I don’t think there’s bathrooms available. However, Its June, so other than the splash pad, everything is Hot 🔥🔥🔥 kids couldn’t use the playground with burning their behinds and hands 😭
My mom used to take me to this park whenever we where in town. It didn’t have anyone there when I went this time but I’m sure it still gets used.
There is a splash pad there. No it’s not the “best” looking neighborhood but what do you expect ? Shouldn’t the children still be blessed with a playground and a cool one at that. We’ve never had issues with the residents around this park. It’s a great place to take your kids when there isn’t too many people. Children should be supervised closely since there is a stream below with fish and tadpoles.
Unfortunately it’s not the most ideal neighborhood, I’m not putting the local residents down but it is a known problem area. That being said, my boys had a great time at the newly opened splash pad. The fuse to the water blew at the grand opening lol. They had finally gotten it going again when we were leaving.
