Park is great. Would be better if more dogs were there. Two areas. One large with agility props, table and shade area and paved sidewalks. Smaller area has tunnels and table and shade area. Short sidewalk. Lots of baggies and garbage cans so it could be kept clean. Hopefully more people will pick up after their dogs. Lack of trees and very soggy in spring. No restrooms for pet parents.
We love this dog park. Our dogs are small and the small dog area is very large! People are also very respectful of keeping big dogs on their side and small dogs alone.
Two large, fenched, open areas for dogs to run. Paved walking for family to walk while the dogs play. Fountains for dogs with bowls and filtered fountain for the family. Umbrella 4 sided table and seating available.
I’ve been to many dog parks. I like this one because it has ample room for pups to run around – it’s very spacious for all sniffing needs. It has the classic 2 gate entrance and a collection of ‘playground’ items. I trained my dog to go thru the tunnels and climb up and down the wooden stairs.
There are 2 sections of parts. One for smaller dogs and one for larger. I’ve seen them used for different reasons.
Some use the sectioning to baby step their dogs into social abilities.
There is a pet water fountain and picnic tables. Provides a nice path for humans to walk also.
The 2 negatives are human related. People need to be more mindful/less lazy about cleaning up after their pets.
Watch where you step. Also, if your dog is being aggressive, take your dog out of the park. I’ve seen some alpha power moves that other dogs/owners don’t appreciate.
There is a porta potty in the parking lot if nature calls
If you have a place in the city without much space for your dogs to run, this is a perfect place to take them. There are two separated areas and one is by far the largest of any dog park I’ve visited. There is also an active fountain, and bags provided. In the half dozen times I’ve been here, I have yet to have an aggressive dog experience which is huge. C
I couldn’t recommend more.
