Great park. The trails are fun. Less walked on though than others. Some we’re hard to spot, especially trail 8 where it goes up from the river to trail 7. Extremely pretty
Great Park. Very clean and well maintained. Good basic campsites (no electricity). Wonderful trails for hiking. Had a great time. Camped there during the Labor Day weekend, and it was not crowded at all. Will return for sure.
Will definitely visit again! We attended a Girl Scout event and the naturalist was very educational and did a great job leading us on a hike! Great park with great features and areas.
A great park that is often overlooked due to Turkey Run being nearby. It is well-maintained but also more natural. Definitely a great place for a hiking day. Good footwear is a must.
Shades is our favorite State Park and is easily one of the best in Indiana. It’s clean and well kept, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the hiking is fantastic. With the large rock formations and elevation changes, it reminds me more of Kentucky than Indiana.
