Discover Tails & Trails Off-Leash Dog Park, Waupaca’s premier destination for dog-friendly hiking and off-leash fun! Located on County Road Q and spanning 30 acres, this beautifully maintained park offers expansive fenced areas, wide pet-friendly trails, and a welcoming atmosphere for dogs and their owners. With wheelchair accessible entrances and parking, it’s truly inclusive for all visitors.
This dog park features a small swimming pond with a ramp for easy water access, clean water bowls, a poop bag dispenser, and plenty of open space for dogs to run at full speed. There’s ample parking, shaded areas for relaxing, and even kid-friendly hikes. Tails & Trails is well-loved for its regular maintenance, friendly community, and the opportunity it gives your pet to play, swim, and socialize in a safe environment.
Always a pleasant experience. Lots of room to roam free. Well maintained trails and fences. Even some flowers! Doggy bag dispenser always full and water pump and bowl usually very clean. The ramp into the swimming pond is a little slippery at the very end but has grips leading the whole way to the water. My shepherd loves this park.
Great park, the trails were very nice with wide paths. The pond was on the small side with a ramp for the entry way.
The park is fine, but the people that visit might just be the worst. Apparently almost none of them realize that this park touches about 40 houses along the back. Multiple times a day I have to hear some mouth-breather screaming at their dog (and the worst part) it starts at 5am every morning!! Today some woman was yelling at a dog named Walter at 5:40am completely oblivious to the fact that other humans (sleeping kids, bird watchers, ect.) exist. 30 acres of space and people find it necessary to stand basically in my back yard and scream, or talk on speaker phone every single morning. What is it about public spaces that make people act worse than their animals, and would it be ok for me to stand in your backyard at 5am and scream at my dog for 20 minutes?…
My dog loves coming here. She doesn’t get to run at full speed at home, and she can here. Even if the parking lot is full, there is plenty of room. For the most part, people only bring friendly dogs. The pond is great and is always clean. I apologize to anyone who is near the pond, and this random white dog comes in for a swim with no owner. I promise, I am on my way. She has gotten to hot and needs a swim. Pictures are from 11/9/2024
