Waterville Recreational Parking is a popular starting point for enjoying the scenic Pine Creek Rail Trail in Waterville, Pennsylvania. While not a traditional fenced dog park, this spot offers ample parking and easy access to pet-friendly trails and hiking routes popular with local dog owners. The area is known for its beautiful canyon and river views, making it ideal for a dog-friendly hike or a relaxing outdoor adventure with your furry companion.
The large gravel parking lot provides safe and convenient access to the rail trail, which is well-maintained and offers both challenging and moderate terrain. Although there are no designated off-leash or dog play areas, it’s a great location for leashed walks and outdoor exploration. While the parking lot itself is not shaded, the northbound trail from this point is mostly shaded, providing relief for you and your pet during warmer days. Restrooms are not available directly at this parking area, but facilities can be found a few miles north at Dry Run or nearby at McConnell’s Country Store.
Seemed like a safe place to park, lots of spaces and access to the rail trail. No shade.
