Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]

Located in Watertown, New York, SPCA Dog Park is a popular spot for local pet owners looking to let their dogs play, exercise, and socialize. This dog-friendly park features a spacious, fully fenced area that allows pups of all sizes to roam off-leash and enjoy some freedom. Visitors rave about the park’s large open space, which is well-shaded and regularly maintained, making it a comfortable and safe environment year-round—even during the winter months!
The park provides owner-friendly amenities like a covered bench for seating and convenient access to waste stations with doggie bags and trash bins inside the fenced area. While there isn’t a separate section for small vs. large dogs, the single large enclosure gives dogs plenty of room to play. Water is available via hose or on the side of the building, but it’s a good idea to bring your own bowl. Best of all, SPCA Dog Park is free to use, though donations are always welcome to help keep this community gem open and inviting for all.
It’s got a great amount of space and a place on the side of the building to refill a water dish. They’ve of course got doggie bags and trash cans inside the play area so you don’t have to leave the fenced area, I just wish more people knew of this park and had their pets come. 😁
Decent sized and calm, lots of shade available which is nice. Biggest problem is small-medium dogs can easily slip under the gates (my 20 lb dog can with ease.) Often very quiet.
Free but donations in money or doggie goods welcome. Bring your own water, nice large area with shade. Not separated for small and large dogs. Yard is groomed. Has covered bench to sit on while pups play. My dogs loved it!
Great local public park. It’s always clean with a hose to water the dogs. My dogs love coming here!
Nice place to let your dogs roam around even in the winter! Fenced in, waste containers with shovels on two sides, what’s not to like? Our puppy really enjoys roaming around this large area. It should be noted that there’s only one large area to roam, it does not have separate spaces for large versus smaller dogs.
