Watertown Dog Park is a spacious and popular off-leash destination for dogs and their owners, conveniently located behind the Main Street businesses at 1365 Main St, Watertown, CT 06795. This well-maintained park offers both a large area for energetic pups and a smaller, separate area specifically for small dogs, providing a safe and enjoyable experience for dogs of all sizes. The entrance is thoughtfully designed to prevent dogs from immediately greeting newcomers, making it especially welcoming for shy or timid dogs.
One of the park’s standout features is its welcoming, pet-friendly community atmosphere—visitors regularly mention how friendly and respectful the local owners are. While water and poop bags are provided at the entrance, it’s a good idea to bring extras just in case supplies run low. The park is mostly grassy, though it can get muddy after rain. Parking is accessible and plentiful, and the grounds are wheelchair friendly, making this an inclusive and convenient spot for a day out with your canine companion in Watertown, Connecticut.
Love this park, however, a few shovels and keeping the doggie poopie bags filled would help. There’s a lot of poo that others are leaving behind.
Me and my Jinx, absolutely love it here. My dog has so much energy and I like that it’s section for small dogs and bakerdog’s. He gets to run around and act crazy with his little self. It’s always clean people are courteous And clean up after their pets and everyone is always very friendly when I go
This is a nice dog park. The entrance is very large. The way it is situated makes it so the dogs don’t run up and greet the new comers at the gate. That’s very nice especially for somewhat timid dogs. There was a large puddle yesterday that my dog kept drinking from so I removed him but it’s not always there.
We always meet the best dogs and people here. Very well maintained but it would be nice if there were more poo bags and receptacles
LARGE park, behind the main street businesses. It was SUPER muddy on the day that we visited, although it was mostly decent grass cover.
The park is much larger than it first looks, with a wider section beyond the narrow view from the entrance.
Water and bags only in the entrance. Trash is a dumpster outside the park.
Separate sections for large and small dogs, although the small dog side is much smaller.
