I haven’t ran into any problems yet! It’s nice to be able to let your buddies run around freely the look of happiness on their furry faces makes it worth the time. The only thing I don’t like doing is picking up their poop cause trust me the poop police will be on you and don’t you dare miss a piece! Lol so yes it is well kept up! There are doggie dishes usually filled with water and poop bags i still bring my own though. It’s great to have a peaceful place like this.
Great place for dog socializing. Way more dogs than at other parks. Best time between 4-6 weekdays, lots of friends there on the weekends.
Great park. Experiences vary with whatever crowd you happen to encounter that day. For the best experience I suggest keeping an eye on your dog at all times, as some owners are less involved which can create precarious situations. My 2 dogs one is a senior, and the other is a young adult, have a great time but gravitate towards different crowds and activities which generally works out well.
This park has plenty of bowls for water and supplies the doggy bags! (So please be a responsible pet owner and pick up after your pup.) Everyone was super friendly when I visited.
There were a few older, snappy dogs but their owners separated them from the other dogs promptly when they began getting agitated. The only issue with that is the only other fenced area was the small dog section and these were big dogs. This made the one small dog owner nervous and he quickly exited that side.
Other than that it was a fun, wide open space for the dogs to run around and make lots of friends! My 3 were so excited the entire time and had so much fun there. We will definitely be back!
My dog, Howl, and I love spending time at this park since it is close to where we reside. Compared to the Cedar Falls park it is very spacious and has a lot more shade. However, the space isn’t necessarily very people friendly. The only bathroom is a porta potty, and the water source at the park isn’t conveniently located. There are no restrictions regarding spaying/neutering your dogs, which can be problematic at times. You can get an annual pass for NULL at Waterloo City Hall. Otherwise, the entry fee is NULL per day. Overall, it is a decent place to spend time with your furry friend.
