Waterford Oaks County Park

Waterford Oaks County Park is a family-friendly park offering accessible hiking trails and a variety of amenities including barbecue grills, tennis courts, picnic tables, and playgrounds suitable for kids. Dogs are allowed, and the park features wide nature-surrounded paths. While some facilities like the playground and wave pool have been closed for renovations and the playground is better suited for older kids, the park remains a nice spot for walking, picnics, and outdoor activities. The entrance is accessible from Scott Lake Rd, with wheelchair accessible parking and entry.
Reviews
The park entrance is located off Scott Lake Rd, not the place Google takes you.
Nice wide paths with plenty of nature to surround you.
The playground is limited, mostly made for older kids. It looks nice and is made of many rocks, but very limited with activities. There are no benches around the play area for guardians to watch kids.
Great place to take the kids. Large bucket dumps water in kiddie pool every so often and the wave pool is fun for adults and bigger kids. They have tubes for use for free. Picnic area. Food and drink can be brought in. Food no longer sold on site. Entry fee is NULL per person.
We were at the peninsula play area. It was very nice and clean, and there were lots of nice picnic tables to choose from.
This park could be so nice if they invested some effort into the spring cleaning this year in 2025. The play equipment and stones is in need of a pressure wash, the paleontologist pit needs sand, and the fall clean up was never really finished.
We walking here today (June 14, 2025) to come to the playground, but it was closed for renovations and will reopen next year.
The wave pool is also closed this year. We weren’t planning on using it, but but sharing the info.
We walked the loop instead, and had a good walk/hike.
