The Alice A Sullivan Dog Park is a spacious and friendly park in Waterford, CT, featuring separate enclosures for small and large dogs. It sits within a larger park area with mostly grassy space and a nearby hiking trail. While it is wheelchair accessible and offers parking, there is no on-site water fountain for dogs, and the park provides trash bins and poop bags. Visitors report a welcoming community of pet owners, though there have been some concerns about dog behavior and safety.

My dogs love it, so many great pet parents, who are friendly and informative.

Beautiful park for your canine friends to enjoy! They have one enclosure for the smaller dogs and another enclosure for the bigger dogs. Only thing that concerns me is that there’s no access to water for our canine friends to drink. I know other towns that actually have an area where you are able to fill up water bowls (actual plumbing where you can turn off & on the water). All I saw at that park was a large wooden container that was full of empty gallon jugs of water 🥲. Sadly I can’t afford to buy gallons of jugs to leave there all the time… Besides that, it’s a beautiful dog park!

My two stars does not have to do with the park but with the people that goes there. Today me, my husband and my dog got bitten by a tan golden retriever named bob because we tried to separate him from our dog. The owner didn’t give a damn. It’s not the first time I heard there is aggressive dogs. When I say aggressive, I say aggressive, not grumpy. Dogs sometimes are just dogs, but me, my husband and my dog got out bleeding. In the end, an old woman and another guy with his dog Pete, were with that man and his dog looking at us leaving injured without giving a damn. This is my warning to people that goes there. I will not, anymore.

Lots of dirt, but nice big and open. Always seem to have friendly pet owners there. Plus there is a hiking trail

Park was closed (and locked) due to iciness. Trash and bags, but no water. Decent sized spaces, separated for large and small dogs.
Looks like it would be mostly grass even the snow is gone. Located in a much larger general park space.
