Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
Town Plot is a well-loved local park located at 37 Rosemont Avenue in Waterbury, Connecticut. Known for its friendly neighborhood atmosphere and accessibility, it is a great spot for families and their pets. While the park is not exclusively a dog park, dog owners often enjoy the spacious open fields and pet-friendly walking paths, making it an excellent destination for dog-friendly outings and pet-friendly trails in Waterbury.
The park features a variety of amenities including picnic tables, public restrooms, a playground with slides and swings for kids, and accessible walkways. Parents appreciate the soft, rubberized playground surfaces for young children, while clean bathrooms and prompt maintenance are regular highlights. Note, however, that the park is not fully dedicated to dogs and doesn’t have fenced or off-leash areas specifically for pets, so visitors should plan to keep their dogs leashed at all times.
nice park, but the dog poop is a turn off when walking in the loop.
Very nice park nestled into a private space in a very large neighborhood. They have a nice softball and little league field, that is well kept. There’s also a nice sized toddler and elementary school age kids playground, with slides, swings and climbing apparatuses for young children. The playground surface is composed of a very soft rubberized material for fall and injury protection.
There’s a small building with adequate restroom facilities. However, the bathrooms were in disrepair, and had no lighting. I’m guessing it’s due to ongoing vandalism.
There are walkways and open fields for kids and adults to use. Most of the park areas are handicapped accessible. But in need of improvement.
Overall, It’s great to see such a nice park hidden in a secluded area among the neighborhood houses.

We were there to enjoy a great day with the pleasure of a few bands playing, as people donated food for the Food Bank. Once a month different parts of Waterbury have Neighborhood Meetings, it informs you what has been happening around where you live. A friend did not know that there were a few cars broken into and also a home in her neighborhood. Go to these meetings and find out how you can be safe, in your own home, they only take maybe 90 minutes out of your month. Most Neighborhood Meetings are listed in the Waterbury newspaper. Thank’s to our Town Plot cooks Sunday, great job Art and Elaine.🇺🇸🌞🌭🙂🎼💙
