Good trail to ride

Well maintained, fully paved rail trail from Wassaic to Millerton and beyond. Wonderful views of the valley for most of the walk, farmland for most of the way. Very few neighborhoods or built-up areas. Long stretches with no benches or anywhere to sit. From Millerton to Wassaic is almost all gently downhill.

This is a great rail trail for walking or biking. Serene, dappled light, very little grade to manage. Good for families. There is a nice ice cream shop along the way (fudge’s)

Easy, flat paved trail. Not busy at all, there’s some foot traffic around the parking areas.

Beautiful hiking trail very well kept and maintained. Personally I have walked the amenia and Wassaic areas but I know that the trail goes quite far north and I would like to eventually explore those areas as well.
