Robert F. Mays Park is a great destination for families with older children who enjoy climbing and balancing challenges. The park features various playground equipment including ropes, ladders, slides, swings, and a handicap accessible swing. It offers picnic tables, a public restroom, and is wheelchair accessible. While the playground is ideal for kids aged 6 and up, it may be challenging for toddlers. The park is well-suited for dogs on leash and hosts a beautiful pavilion and open fields for gatherings. However, it has limited shade during the evenings.

Although this park looks pretty awesome from the pictures, it isn’t all that great for younger kids. I would say maybe 8 yrs old plus would be a good age for this park. Requires quite a bit of coordination to climb and balance on the rather high up equipment. Definitely better parks for kids of all ages in Centerville/Washington Township.

Safe, clean, large pavilion next two wide open fields. We organize a team picnic for 30+ people are in and had plenty of space for dinner and games are under the shelter house.

Kids love this park. We go quite often they love climbing and the “elevator” part of the playground. We dontate our books often at the little free library and my daughter enjoys picking out a book to read while we go and play

This park is great for kids who LOVE TO CLIMB! It is definitely geared toward older kids (6-12 year old) and not toddlers. There are many ropes and ladders to climb. There are also some awesome balance equipment to try!

Something else to note: This park is not well shaded in the evenings.

I brought a 3 year old to the park and while she had a lot of fun, it was quite challenging for her to climb on much of the equipment. There are also only two small slides which weren’t easily accessible for her. They have a few toddler swings and a handicap accessible swing that she had fun trying!
