Really large dog park and never crowded which is fantastic. Gravel is finer than other dog parks which is great but can get messier when it rains. There’s also a grassy area outside of the dog park. There are free poop bags and water fountains.

Subtracting 1 star because night lighting is terrible. Kinda scary to bring your dog here at night.

Great location and lots of room for the dog to run. We visit all the time! I just wish there were a few more trees and some interesting activities in the dog park (a big rock or some bushes or something). It’s kind of barren and is only engaging for the dog if there are other puppers around.

Great park! My doggie loves it there and pups are pretty friendly too.

Great park but there’s a man with two German shepherds and a corgi and claims his dogs are “friendly” DONT BELIEVE HIM. One of the shepherds attacked mine and he has a puncture wound. Seriously they shouldn’t even be at a dog park! I hate when people bring aggressive dogs to the dog park.

It does get muddy after the rain and the water fountains are broken cause a puddle of mud.

Virginia Avenue Park is one of those small parks that only locals know about. The nearby highway hides it well.

The park includes a dog park, a community garden, and green space with several picnic tables. A bike trail goes by it offering beautiful views of the Washington Monument.
