Located in the heart of Washington, District of Columbia, S Street Park is a vibrant and pet-friendly destination where local dog owners gather to let their pups play and socialize. This urban dog park offers a fenced-in area perfect for off-leash adventures, and is popular among dog lovers for its friendly atmosphere and well-behaved canine crowd.
The park features unique amenities that stand out among dog parks in DC, including kiddie pools in the summer for your pup to cool off, tennis balls, water taps, and plenty of shade from mature trees. Owners can relax on benches in the shade while their dogs enjoy the playful energy, especially during early morning and evening hours when the park gets busiest. S Street Dog Park is wheelchair accessible at the entrance, ensuring it remains welcoming to everyone in the community.
I love this dog park. Everyone’s pups have been well-behaved and the space is awesome. Kiddie pools in the summer and folks there even after dark in the winter. Very fun.
vibes have been off lately but this has generally been a nice and attentive crowd. it’s a super small park but suddenly people think it’s ok to play fetch when there are dozens of large dogs barreling around. i have personally been knocked over twice and see people fall like once a week. it also monopolizes the space and small dogs can’t really play at the same time. it would be nice if people shared the limited space a little better.
Great little oasis for dogs and humans alike! There are lots of amenities for the pets (tennis balls, pools, water taps) and benches and shade for their owners. Vibe tends to be quite friendly and relaxed. Busiest right before and after work hours, through the week.
It’s a nice closer space for dogs to play. There are two small pools with fresh water. Our Chicho loved them
Honestly the best dog park that exists. My baby loves it here, she runs around and makes new dogo friends. Very friendly owners as well, they are always aware of their dogs. What I love most about the park is how crowded it gets and the dogs have a lot of friends to play with. In summer the pool is awesome. LOVE THE VIBES AND LOVE THE DOGOS
