Nestled in the heart of Washington, DC, Robert Latham Owen Park was once a popular spot for outdoor activities, dog walking, and enjoying the city's green spaces. Visitors came to experience its open areas, pet-friendly trails, and opportunities for biking, walking, running, and fishing. Known as a welcoming place to relax with your family or four-legged friends, this park attracted those seeking a convenient dog park near downtown DC for their pups to socialize and play.
However, recent visitor reviews indicate that Robert Latham Owen Park is currently closed and undergoing construction. Prospective visitors are encouraged to check for the latest updates before making the trip, as the park is not accessible at this time. We hope for a future renovation so it can once again serve Washington's pet-loving community.
Park is gone, just a construction zone now. Maybe will get renovated, wish someone had updated before I walked over here to find it gone

In 1841 Latham produced a well-known text-book, The English Language. He devoted himself to a thorough revision of Samuel Johnson’s Dictionary of the English Language, which he completed in 1870. He subsequently spent much time on a Dissertation on the Hamlet of Saxo Grammaticus and of Shakespeare. His works on the English language passed through many editions, and were regarded as authoritative till they were superseded by those of Richard Morris and Walter William Skeat.
