Great place for a photoshoot, was an old skate park under the overpass… popular dog park on the playground side
Garfield Park is a great little 2 court facility, but it’s still needs a lot of TLC. The cracks on the courts at this point are are an absolute safety hazard. I’m pretty sure the courts were resurfaced two years ago and they need it again. We all would appreciate the courts being cleaned off more often as well.
Now one of the net posts has rusted out and only one court is available at Garfield Park. The city needs to fix this immediately, they need to just replace the Net post.
It’s truly disappointing that this great little 2 court facility is maintained so poorly.kids
Parks is great and looks like it’s getting a facelift . PLEASE PUT A RAMP BY THE STAIRS. It’s a kids park yet it’s really hard to get a stroller up if you are coming from Navy yard.
A lovely park for a walk. The playground is a nice place for little ones to climb and play. The interstate noise can be overwhelming, but it’s a nice park for families.
Be aware there is a homeless camp under the highway next to the park. I still felt safe during the day. All the locals seem very comfortable with it. Good selection of playground equipment.
