Columbia Heights Dog Park is a popular local spot for dog owners in Washington, District of Columbia, conveniently located at 1100 Park Rd NW, Washington, DC 20010. Known for its welcoming neighborhood atmosphere, this fenced park is a great place for your pup to socialize and stretch their legs in a safe, designated space. The park is supported by the community group 11th and Bark, who help care for and maintain the area.
Dog owners praise the park for its friendly, responsible community and the opportunity for their pets to play off-leash. While the park is mainly surfaced with dirt—which can get muddy in the winter or after snow—the abundance of playful and friendly dogs more than makes up for it. Note that the park may have some hours where it is locked for special events, so checking local schedules is advised.
A lovely dog park. Please donate and volunteer with 11th and Bark, the group that supports this public space.
Love having this dog park in the neighborhood! Everyone is super responsible about their dogs and it’s just an all around good atmosphere
Great community dog park close to home. Usually full of friendly faces and some good dogs. Occasionally there will be a dog or two that are too rowdy for the crowd, but that’s not the norm.
Not a public dog park. Came here on Sunday at 10am. Was locked. There were signs for doggie fun time for 3-5pm. It looks like a neighborhood gate kept place. Wasn’t super impressed from looking at it either. It’s entirely dirt. Was lightly snowing Sunday. Even if it was open, I’d have to think about it bc it was already muddy.
Great place to let the pups run around and tire. Other dog owners are kind and attentive for their pups which I appreciate. Not really any grass during winter (if at all) so not that aesthetically pleasing except for all the cute dogs running about.
