A peaceful oasis in the heart of D.C.—ideal for dog walking, casual picnics and the occasional passionate diplomacy beneath the stars. It may look innocent, but don’t be fooled—this park has seen things. Biblical things.
There’s something about this place—maybe it’s the romantic lighting (thank you, dutifully placed street lamps), the artfully positioned benches or the tree that just gets you. Whatever it is, it whispers, “Why wait until you get home?” Whether you’re making questionable choices under a canopy of leaves or testing the structural integrity of park furniture, Stanton delivers. Discretion? Optional. Regret? Unlikely.
Pro tip: bring a blanket, a water bottle (hydration is key) and your best fake yawn in case a dog walker or jogger passes by mid-action.
10/10 would revisit for both reflection and recreation.
Beautiful Park for Passersby, dog walking, relaxing area in the middle of D.C! Nice area. However, this is a Very basic park, I didn’t notice toys for kids or anything like that but I did sit under beautiful trees on a bench while it rained with my umbrella ☔ and it was An Amazing relaxing experience 💆
Small shaded park. Great for dog walking.
This is a nice little park on Capitol Hill where kids and dogs can play or where you can relax on benches or the lawn. In the spring, you can enjoy the beautiful cherry blossoms. Bars and restaurants are nearby
I chose to skip the cherry blossom crowds at the National Mall and wandered over to this hidden gem instead. It was pure magic—calm, peaceful, and the perfect spot to embrace the beauty of spring. I truly cherished the slower pace this place offered 🩷
