Great little park with a nice grassy area and cute playground great for kids 1-9. No bathrooms or parking.
A hidden treasure, I passed by it twice and I did not see it. I live by S street dog park. Zetta (my daschund) and I are grieving as my boy crossed the rainbow bridge in April. So our regular dog park is not attractive to her anymore. Steps of the Mitchell park are not steep at all. Although it doesn’t qualify as a maze. But I felt we have found the friendliest most open maze ever. It is clean, quiet and kind. The dog parents are pretty responsible and calm too.
Mitchell Park was awesome 👌. A perfect place to sit down and just reflect. The mini library even had a variety of books to enjoy in my solitude.
This park has it all!
– Peace of mind in the grass with larger than life luxurious dogs that come from the upper echelon of DC living? Check
– two pickleball courts with friendly folks? Check
– a sitting area for local orchestras to practice? Check
– play area separate from all the above for kids? Check
One of DC’s best smaller parks with lots of character and layout.
